Konferencën e EESC e Nivelit të Lartë të Shoqërisë Civile: Vazhdimi i historisë së suksesit të Zgjerimit të BE-së

Komiteti Evropian Ekonomik dhe Social (EESC) në bashkëpunim me Drejtorinë e Përgjithshme për Fqinjësinë dhe Negociatat e Zgjerimit (DG NEAR) të Komisionit Evropian dhe Fondacioni i Shoqërisë së Hapur-Ballkani Perëndimor organizuan Konferencën e Nivelit të Lartë të Shoqërisë Civile: Vazhdimi i historisë së suksesit të Zgjerimit të BE-së – duke sjellë përfitime për Ballkanin Perëndimor përpara anëtarësimit.
Konferenca e Nivelit të Lartë të Shoqërisë Civile të Ballkanit Perëndimor mblodhi së bashku anëtarë të EESC, përfaqësues të shoqërisë civile të organizuar dhe sindikatave nga vendet e Ballkanit Perëndimor, si dhe përfaqësues të shoqërisë civile dhe Qeverisë së Sllovenisë. U shënuan 20 vjet nga zgjerimi më i madh i BE-së deri më tani dhe 20 vjet nga anëtarësimi i Sllovenisë në BE.
Ishte një mundësi për pjesëmarrësit nga BE-ja dhe Ballkani Perëndimor për të shkëmbyer pikëpamjet mbi reformat e nevojshme në Ballkanin Perëndimor dhe në BE për të ruajtur politikën e zgjerimit si një nga historitë më të rëndësishme të suksesit të BE-së; për të diskutuar situatën aktuale të shoqërisë civile në rajon dhe nevojën për ta përfshirë atë në mënyrë më efektive në procesin e anëtarësimit.
Temat kryesore të këtij viti ishin si më poshtë:
1️⃣ Rruga e anëtarësimit në BE për Ballkanin Perëndimor:
– fokusohu tek aspektet bazë;
– reformat e nevojshme për të siguruar një zgjerim të ardhshëm të suksesshëm.
2️⃣ Kontributi i shoqërisë civile të organizuar në zbatimin e planit të ri të rritjes për Ballkanin Perëndimor:
– Mësimet e nxjerra nga Fondi i Rimëkëmbjes dhe Rezistencës së BE-së (RRF);
– Përshpejtimi i konvergjencës socio-ekonomike të rajonit me BE-në;
🗣 Folësit kryesorë ishin z. Oliver Röpke, President i KESE-së, Znj. Tanja Fajon, zëvendëskryeministre dhe ministre e Punëve të Jashtme dhe Evropiane të Sllovenisë, Z. Oliver Várhelyi, Komisioneri për Fqinjësinë dhe Zgjerimin, Znj. Majlinda Bregu, Sekretare e Përgjithshme e Këshillit të Bashkëpunimit Rajonal (RCC) etj.
Në fund u miratuan konkluzionet e konferencës për publikim të rezultateve të konferencës.

The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) in cooperation with the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) of the European Commission and Open Society Foundation-Western Balkans organised the Civil Society High-Level Conference: Continuing the success story of EU enlargement – bringing benefits to the Western Balkans in advance of accession, on 24 May 2024 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The Western Balkans Civil Society High-Level Conference brought together EESC members, organised civil society and trade unions representatives from the Western Balkan countries, and representatives of civil society and the Government of Slovenia. It marked 20 years since the biggest EU enlargement so far, and 20 years since Slovenia joined the EU.
It was an opportunity for participants from the EU and the Western Balkans to exchange views on the reforms needed in the Western Balkans and in the EU to maintain enlargement policy as one of the most important EU success stories; to discuss the current situation of civil society in the region and the need to include it more effectively in the accession process.
The main topics this year were as follows:
1️⃣ EU accession path for the Western Balkans:
– focus on fundamentals;
– reforms needed to ensure a successful next enlargement.
2️⃣ Contribution of organised civil society to the implementation of the new growth plan for the Western Balkans:
– Lessons learned from the EU’s Recovery and Resilience Fund (RRF);
– Accelerating the socio-economic convergence of the region with the EU;
🗣 Main speakers were Mr. Oliver Röpke, EESC President, Mrs. Tanja Fajon, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia, Mr. Oliver Várhelyi, Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, Mrs. Majlinda Bregu, Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), etc.
At the end was approved the conclusions of the conference for publishing
KSSH was respresented from its KSSH Deputy President, Mra. Anisa Subashi
